Weird Al Star Fund launches it’s new line of fall merchandise

Weird Al Star Fund has added some new exciting merchandise to our online store!

Artists Allison Corbin and Aron Shay have put together some great new T-shirt designs. Allison’s take on Al’s mysterious “eyebrow raise” will certainly get you noticed everywhere you go, and Aron has put Al onto Hollywood Blvd., where he rightfully belongs!

No Christmas tree would be complete without Al and the guys in the band hanging from it’s branches, now would it? We’ve got plenty of Christmas ornaments to help fill in all of those bare spots on your Christmas tree this year. And they make great stocking stuffers for all of your close personal friends.

Plus, as long as you’re in the mood for hanging things, you’ll want to check out our new large 35 x 23 inch poster of Al and his accordions. It’s big enough to cover up that hole in the wall! (Look under ‘Fun stuff’)

Stock up on these items and all of your favorite merchandise at http://www.cafepress.com/weirdalstar Order now!

Edit 11/04/04 — But wait, there’s more!

Aron Shay has given us some more great artwork and we’ve made it available on various clothing items, a tote bag, and a journal — a great place to record all your Al memories!

And we’ve got a 2005 calendar! Yep, you read that right, a 2005 calendar. It’s a 11 x 17 inch poster/calendar and is “Wanna B Ur Lovr” themed. Women, you’ll want to check this one out for sure!

Now’s a great time to do some early holiday shopping, because lots of stuff is on sale! Hooded Sweatshirts are $3 off. And the wall calendar, baseball jerseys, large mug, and mousepads are all $2 off.

Eminem vs Jacko

Is the King of Pop losing it?

As you may have heard, Eminem is currently battling it out with Michael Jackson over his depiction of the King of Pop in his “Just Lose It” video. This article includes a nice quote from Al…

Apparently, though, Slim Shady is equally sensitive about his own image.

“Last year, Eminem forced me to halt production on the video for my ‘Lose Yourself’ parody because he somehow thought that it would be harmful to his image or career,” says pop song satirist Weird Al Yankovic. “So the irony of this situation with Michael is not lost on me.”

Al at Team America Premiere

Well, it was reported here that Al had been invited to the premiere of Team America: World Police. E! managed to catch him outside and got a quick quote from him. Then the good folks at South Park Alliance managed to snag the E! coverage of the film from the airwaves and post it on their site. Now don’t get TOO excited. Al gets half a sentence in, and it lasts all of five seconds. Still, it’s Al, and that should be good enough for you.

The file is in MP4 format. The latest version of Apple’s Quicktime Player can play the clip just fine.

Wire Image

Looks like three new pictures have shown up on WireImage.com of our buddy Weird Al at the “Team America: World Police” LA Premiere.

Also, I don’t think it’s been mentioned here before, but also check out another three close-up pics of Al at “A World of Heroes” to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation

World’s First Digital Accordion

Hey, Al’s birthday is coming up soon (October 23) and what would be a better way to show your uber-fan status than getting him the World’s First Complete Digital Accordion? It can simulate up to 30 different accordion sound sets, is always in tune, and the output can plug directly into a sound system or even headphones. Your neighbors will thank you for it.

Alice Cooper’s Christmas Pudding

Al will once again be a “comedic ingredient” at Alice Cooper’s Christmas Pudding which will be held at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix, AZ on December 18, 2004.

Note: Al’s name appeared on the website as of the time the initial entry to this blog was made. It since has been removed without explanation. Please keep an eye on Alice Cooper’s Christmas Pudding website for further details if they become available.

Team America

Caught this on the PR News Wire:
Los Angeles Premiere of the Movie ‘TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE’

Celebrity attendees and special guests include:
Matthew Perry, Kevin Smith, Spike Jonze, Eric Idle, Weird Al Yankovic, Aisha Tyler, …

and this just made me laugh…

MPAA Rating: R for graphic, crude and sexual humor.
Violent images and strong language: all involving puppets

Ah Matt and Trey, love’em or hate’em, you gotta admit they always convey an important message underneath all their crude and shocking humor. They get kids everywhere sneaking off to the friend-with-the-cool-dad’s place so that they can watch and laugh at the talking poo while learning about the repercussions of, oh let’s say, getting in the way of Barbra Streisand.
