A long, long time ago in a galaxy far far away, there was a contest to see who could create the best desktop wallpaper calendar for May, and Aron won hands down. Here she gives us Al as a Jedi master ready to use a little force on anyone who gets in his way. Nice work, Aron! It’s being posted a little early to make up for the Kenny G April Fools Day prank that some of you didn’t like too much. Hey, look, it’s being posted on the 27th, and you know what that means. Maybe you can whip up a little something for next months contest. You don’t need much more than a scanner and some software that you can pick up for free on the net. So there’s no excuse for you not to submit a calendar for next month. Good luck!

While surfing through my ever-growing list of blogs, I came across this entry by Pat Gunn and thought it was worth repeating, just to help spread the word:

Dear world,

If you have miscellaneous mp3s, and they’re parody, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES name them or edit their id3 tag so they appear to be by Weird Al Yankovic UNLESS they are actually by him. Otherwise (and this is the warning part), I will show up at your place of dwelling at 3am with an accordion band, a pair of large shears, and a number of wolves that have not eaten for two days. What happens next will be truly unforgettable. So DON’T DO IT! Grr.

So for all you music-sharers who have managed to dodge the wrath of the music industry so far, it looks like you have one more problem to worry about. Beware the fury of Pat!

Google has a really cool relatively new maps feature which lets you get fairly detailed satellite images of just about anywhere in the U.S.
