His current record contract was for three albums (Poodle Hat, this one, and one more) and a cheesy compilation. After that he has to renegotiate his deal. The contract also said the albums had to be 12 songs - (6 parodies/6 originals. He has to follow that formula (or renegotiate the contract) if he wants to release an album of a different mixture. So he still needs 3 more parodies.

Maybe its hard for Al to do 5 parodies plus 1 polka because the music today sucks. Or maybe he made 6 LONG original songs and thats all he could fit on the cd. Or maybe he is coming back soon to finish it up.

According to Al's record deal, he still has 3 more parodies to record. Hopefully he'll be back in the stuido doing them soon. (Let's hope this is not another "Off the Deep End" - where the originals and half the parodies were recorded in 1990, and then it was not until 1992 that the other 3 parodies were recorded and the album released).
