Weird Al Show DVD coming August 15
The latest news from TVShowsOnDVD.com is that the The Weird Al Show – The Complete Series will be released on August 15, 2006 and be a 3-DVD set with all 13 episodes and extras. Yay!
Back in early January we pass along info from Weird Al Yankovic’s official website about how his short-lived TV series, The Weird Al Show, would head to DVD from The Shout! Factory later this year. Now DVDPlanet.com has a preorder listing for what is sure to be a fun and popular title. The release date is shown as August 15th, and you can expect all 13 episodes plus extras to come on a 3-DVD set. Price is $34.95 SRP, but you can lock in your order with DVDPlanet right now for just $24.47!
We’re still waiting on the studio to officially release the full info, and the cover art, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, those of you who want a Weird Al experience while you wait, don’t forget to pick up the newly-released single-DVD release The Simpsons – Kiss & Tell. It contains the episode from the 14th season, “3 Gays of the Condo”, which features Al in a guest spot as, well, himself!

I think that’s great! But, I won’t rely on DVDplanet for the date.
I’m not going to believe that date until Shout! Factory confirms or, better yet,
Weirdal.com
Until then, let’s hope that this DVD package will be the best that it can possibly be.
I bet it will due to Al’s DVD history! Awesome collection!
I sure hope it is sooner than August… 6 Months away?!? You would think they
would have most the DVD put together once they announced it.
But, None but Weirdal.com and DVDplanet has confirmed its existence,
(not including tvshowsondvd.com)
