Weird Al is SOL

SOL
Straight Outta Lynwood It looks like we finally have the complete artwork for Weird Al’s new album, titled “Straight Outta Lynwood” and Al looks like he’s ready to take on the world. Ooh, check out the license plate for another 27 reference. As usual, the same image can be found on Al’s MySpace. While you’re there, listen to “Hardware Store”, “Your Horoscope For Today”, “Amish Paradise”, and of course “You’re Pitiful”.

Ooooooooooooooooooh aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Thanks for the great campaign Al!!!

  2. Anonymous Says:

Ooooh. Maybe we’ll have a parody of Straight Outta Compton from nwa?

I love old school rap like NWA. This would be so funny.

  3. John Says:

the campaign isn’t over yet. we still have track titles missing as well as which parodies on it and originals, and whether it will be an enhanced cd like Running With Scissors or Poodle Hat.

  4. Measure Says:

So is this a parody of a nwa album cover? If so, I’m sure it’s the lead song on the album. Gotta go download the album so I can hear the original.

  5. Nick S. Says:

I can’t wait for the new video!!!!

  6. Anonymous Says:

Hey the lead single off of Straight Outta Lynwood is gonna be called “White and Nerdy” a parody of Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’”. Also apparently there will be parodies of R. Kelly, Green Day, and Usher. So its shaping up to be an awesome ALbum!!! Can’t wait! Oh you can find out all the info I said and more here:

    ENJOY!!!!

Hey, Anonymous Guy whose posted #6. I personally had already read that at Wikipedia, but you really should have warned that you were giving major spoilers! There are many Weird Al fans who view his albums the way one views a movie; they wanna be surprised by what the parodies turn out to be.

But so long as you already blurted that out, I knew Green Day would be on there; American Idiot was huge. As for the Chamillionaire parody, my brother’s prediction (which is totally his own idea, not based on any speculation he read, but I think it’s actually very likely) is that White and Nerdy will turn out to be about Napoleon Dynamite. Al could have backup dancers doing the Napoloeon dance moves! The R.Kelly parody is most likely “Trapped in a Closet” which is kind of a bummer cuz parodies of that have been done to death already, I feel. No idea what Usher parody there might be; not familiar with any recent hits of his.

  8. Stephen S. Says:

    I love this teaser campaign!

  9. A Man Says:

    A 27 reference already as there’s a 27 on the lisence plate!

  10. Josh Says:

Just checked weirdal.com and the archive has been updated! Two new title-less songs with recording dates of 7/22! You’re Pitiful has also been added.

  11. wrdalfn Says:

Did anyone else notice on the license plate it says “27 NLY”? I assume the NLY stands for Nina Yankovic. On top of everything else, and really most important, Al is a great dad!!

  12. Chris Blystone Says:

Al’s new cd is gonna kick butt

  13. Chris Blystone Says:

I was making an al mix cd on limewire and I found two new Al songs that probably will be on Al’s new cd. They are called Green Eggs and Ham and Pac Man (parody of Tax Man)

  14. Weird Mario Says:

Those have been out for a while, but they could go on the album, who knows.

  15. Mary Says:

    mary cant wait

  16. Patti Says:

As far as the license plate, it is thought that the 027 is in reference to Mary, because her birthdate was 2/7, and the NLY is for Nick, whose full name was Nicholas Louis Yankovic. Nina’s middle name is Louise, so it could double as a tribute to her as well. Not sure about that, but, you never know.

  17. Sean Says:

I guess that the Usher song that he will parody will be “Yeah”.
    Just a guess?

  18. mike mugan Says:

the songs you found on limewire are pacman which was song on his first tour in 1983and green eggs and ham was put out in 1994 and he did it one three tours. So I think these songs won’t be on his new album but might be on one that is titled rare and unreleased song of Weird Al if he ever does that.

  20. skayterboy Says:

Most of those songs were concert only, due to the fack he never got full permission to use them as parodies.

  21. Woker Says:

    Good job.

  22. J0nnyg Says:

Either this site, or another site should post some mp3 versions of songs that never made it to an album or single. Fans could upload songs they have and people all over the world could share songs from weird al that many people may have never heard. Of course we would only post the songs that you couldn’t buy on CD.
