In honor of this months release of The Weird Al Show on DVD, our favorite calendar girl, Aron, has created a very fitting desktop wallpaper. Actually, this was done a few years ago and was waiting for JUST the right month to be used. Make sure you pick up your copy on August 15th, or pre-order it now! Ya know, these monthly calendar contests aren’t difficult. In fact, for September it’s even easier for you to create something. Thanks to the fine folks at WeirdAl.com, everyone on the net now has access to the cover art for the upcoming album, Straight Outta Lynwood. Use that as your starting point and create a calendar entry based off of it. Maybe you’d like to put it on a snazzy background like this years February calendar did. The only additional rules from the normal list is that you may NOT alter the original image. That is to say, don’t try to put Al in any funny poses, put a poodle on his head, or that kind of thing. You are, essentially, creating an advertisement for the album. Secondly, instead of only having a maximum size of a measly 1024×768, we’ll kick it up a notch to say that your submissions must be in 1600×1200 for HUGE Al-goodness. That’s easy since Al even gives you that! Third, um, it must say “Straight Outta Lynwood” on it somewhere. Lastly, put the release date somewhere on the calendar. As always it must include the AA calendar and logo. Good luck!
