XM Radio Gets Ready For Al’s Takeover

Tuesday is going to be busy. First, there’s the release of the new album, Straight Outta Lynwood, well for the folks in the US anyway, sorry Tennessee…er, Canada, then at the Virgin Megastore in Hollywood, Al will be signing copies of the album (you DID sign up on Upcoming.org didn’t you?). Now, we find out that our pal Al will be taking over the 80s channel on XM radio at 7PM Eastern Time. Think of it as Al-Tv but for radio. If you don’t have XM, just find a friend who does, and if you have no friends because you’re too White & Nerdy, and that’s probably the case, then you can just use your mental powers to tune into the satellite feed and listen that way. Don’t blame us though if it just sounds like a dolphin crying from a birdcage that’s submerged in a pool filled with mercury. You have to work through your own issues.
Oh and if THAT’S not enough for Tuesday, don’t forget it’s laundry day and you need to pick up your room, you slob.

  8. RUSTY Says:

    What’s al-tv?????????? what’s al-tv you ask????????

well my dear butthead…why don’t you sit down, shut up and hang on to your seat because this is al-tv!!!!!

al-tv is when al takes over vh1 or mtv (depending on what side of bed he got out of that morning) and we watch “close personal celebrity interviews with some of his close personal friends in the music biz, get a visit with harvey the wonder hamster, and we pay trubute to artists who don’t get enough airtime (al)….and most importantly…we get to see all the videos al wants to watch!!!…

does that pretty much sum it all up, steve???

  9. rusty Says:

    anymore questions butthead????

  10. torsoboy Says:

“Sorry Tennessee” was something John Henson would say on Talk Soup on E! a few years ago. After going through a little rant he would always end with “Offer void where prohibited…sorry Tennessee!” It always gave me a laugh, so I like to use it.

  11. dude Says:

    ahhh…I C

  12. rustY Says:

Did i get everything about al-tv????

oh and sometimes on al-tv butthead….there is al-news

  13. Richard Latanville Says:

I wonder who Al is gonna interview for the AL-TV special?

    Alice cooper
    50 cents

    who knows?

  14. rusty Says:

probably chamillionaire, james blunt, usher, r kelly, green day….people who were parodied or polkaed

  15. Richard Latanville Says:

i would like to see Al and Alice, 2 friends turning a simple interview into a party or some sorts

  16. rusty Says:

i wanna see al tell james blunt off

  17. butthead Says:

    thank you rusty

  18. butthead Says:

do you know where i can download white and nerdy??

  19. Richard Latanville Says:

butthead. You can stream it in numerous websites. Weird Al’s myspace, youtube AOL Yahoo Launch and more. Too bad it isn’t going to be on DVD/SOL. Far as I know on there the 6 originals will be on it.

  20. Richard Latanville Says:

Rusty, Al won’t tell Blunt off, he gave Al the permsision for Your pitiful and was cool about it. It’s Atlantic record that is the jackass to the situation.

  21. Coachfrank Says:

On an unrelated note on the Dan Patrick show on ESPN radio they were playing white and nerdy as a bridge coming back from commercial breaks during both the two and three o’clock EDT hours. When Dan Patrick asked his producre, Phil the show killer, what he was trying to say with this musical choice? Phil replied that “well Dan that you are white and nerdy.”

  22. Ryan Says:

Is weirdal.com running slowly for you guys lately?

  23. A Man Says:

No Al-TV was better than his interview with Eminem, or Celine Dion. I’m a cooky Canadian, and Al loves me:)

  24. Ugliness Man Says:

For the record, Henson was more than likely making reference to a Simpsons Halowe’en episode where Paul Anka sang a song about how not watching the monsters will make them go away, and when he sang “it’s got Paul Anka’s guanrantee”, Lisa stepped in and sang “guarantee void in Tennesee”. I’d like to think that it’s more likely for a Weird Al fan to be referencing The Simpsons rather than any rubbish on E!, but since Al made a song called “Talk Soup” I’ll accept either possibility for now.

  25. butthead Says:

    its slow for me

  26. Nick S. Says:

Don’t for get his interview with that guy from R.E.M

  27. Ryan Says:

LOL!!! Truck backing up! Truck backing up!

  28. MY NAME IS BJORK!!!!! (rusty) Says:

    the guy from R.E.M.?????

    do ya mean Michael Stipe????
