BellaOnline Interview
Here’s a nice interview from BellaOnline.com. It goes into the nice topics like doing more rap after the Coolio incident, MTV and VH-1, real-world topics, his start with the accordion, and then there’s THIS million dollar question…
Q: Are there six music videos for this album?
Weird Al - Six music videos on the album, on the DVD side of the album. On top of that there’s “White and Nerdy,” and I’m actually shooting the video for another song tomorrow. So far there are going to be 8 videos for the album and six of them are on the album itself.
WHOA!!! He’s doing ANOTHER video?!? HOLY BEJESUS!!! That’s freakin’ AWESOME!!! Hmm, I wonder what song it’ll be for. Trapped in the Drive Thru??? Hee hee hee… no wonder he won’t be touring until next summer.

ANOTHER VIDEO?!?!?
Yeah!!!
Thanks Al!
I hope it is for Trapped in the Drive Thru..
That would be a task, but Suzanne could make an Appearance, and it would be the best video EVER!
Take that, R. Kelly!

I wonder if the Jib Jab video and video he’s shooting tomorrow are one in the same?
September 28th, 2006 at 08:54 am
Since he’s referencing it as the 8th video, it would have to be the JibJab video, wouldn’t it?

Hmm… I feel all weird going to a site with “The Voice of Women” as the tagline in order to get my Al news fix…
September 28th, 2006 at 10:53 am
a trapped in the drive tru would take a long time to shoot
September 28th, 2006 at 10:55 am

September 28th, 2006 at 10:55 am

i hope its for canadian idiot
September 28th, 2006 at 02:14 pm
i would like to see Do i creep you out as a video.
It would have scenes and cameos from American Idol and another and with a woman he is crazy for. Then at the end, Simon would say “that’s the worse song he heard and I heard William hung’s “she bangs” then Al gets into a fight with him.
But if only, I doubt would happen, because that would be cool.

I hope Polkarama will be the next music video. It’ll be the first professional Weird Al music video for a polka medley.
September 28th, 2006 at 06:14 pm
dear mr. Tokusou Sentai Blessranger (i had to copy your name to get the spelling right)
there will be no “professional video” for POLKARAMA
the video for polkarama will consist of snippet of the music videos of the songs in the polka
it will be like polka power, angry white boy polka etc..

I know Best Buy had them…but I bought the last copy at my Best Buy and they said that they accidentally got a double shipment…so hopefully it means that the CD is selling well.

While I would like the new video to be for the Green Day parody, I’m pretty sure Jib Jab is doing that. I can’t imagine what weird al would do with all that green slime from the original video, but I’d like him to do hilarious stuff in slow motion while singing. Trapped in the Drive-Thru would be awesome as a video, but it seems way too unlikely. One more thing, when I put my CD into the computer, it showed up as “Straight Outta Lynnwood”, with 2 N’s!!! Also, I think the same problem came up when iTunes checked the official database online for the song info, I had to change them all to just one n.

September 28th, 2006 at 10:47 pm
OMG!!! Straight Outta Lynwood is the #9 album on iTunes after 2 days!!! That’s crazy considering most of us probably went out and bought the Dual-Disc.
September 28th, 2006 at 11:07 pm
You may just have to order it online and try to get 1 day shipping…but do it soon for Al’s sake!
September 29th, 2006 at 10:26 am
I called tower and they had it….for $18.99!!!!!!!!!
that extra money better go to al!!!!!!!!!

September 29th, 2006 at 12:53 pm
Al SHOULD (But won’t) make a video for every song.
If you can’t find the album, order it online at bestbuy.com
I have ordered countless things from them, and the delivery is fast and of quality.
September 29th, 2006 at 02:11 pm
He should make a video for every song!!!!!!!!
September 29th, 2006 at 05:50 pm
i got mine at shopco
September 29th, 2006 at 07:16 pm
hey if you’re a Canadian or have much music I think “Weird Al” Will be on much on demand on Oct 11th
September 29th, 2006 at 09:50 pm
That’s sweet!! I personally really like the animated video’s too, exspecially the one for “Close, But No Cigar”. A “Trapped in the Drive Thru” video would be ridiculasly long, but still very silly. I hope it’s that, or “Confessions Pt III”
My only beef with this album is the audio side of the dualdisc doesn’t play on my computer, meaning I can’t put the music on my iPod:(
Guess I’ll have to stick with Jethro Tull:P
October 1st, 2006 at 12:12 am
the audio side and the dvd side work both on my computer and in my cd and dvd player
