International Release Update

INTERNATION-AL
“Straight Outta Lynwood” will be released on Sept. 30 in Australia, on Oct. 3 in Canada, on Oct. 6 in New Zealand and on Nov. 24 in Germany. We’ve just been told that the record company in the UK has declined to release the album - sorry. (There’s always import stores!)
Huh? What’s up with the UK not releasing the album at all?

The release dates must only affect the stores because I live in Canada, preordered from Amazon.ca and received the new album (dualdisk) last week.

OK. I’m Confused. Canada Didn’t Decline Al’s Albun Even After The Stereotyping He Did In “Canadian Idiot”. I Could See If Canada Denied The Album, But THE UK? What Do They Have Against Al? If I’m Correct, He Hasn’t Insulted THEM Directly.

I’m not speaking on behalf of all Canadians. However being one I can honestly that Canadian Idiot would give us no excuse to decline the album. It is a perfectly harmless song. Even Canadians make fun of all our stereotypes. Ever hear of Bob and Doug Mckenzie (Prob not) But ya…

I don’t think Canada would ever ban “Straight Outta Lynwood” because of “Canadian Idiot”. America didn’t seem to care when Green Day came out with “American Idiot”. I’m not sure what is up with the UK, they are kind of strange and I’m not even sure if there are many Weird Al fans out there. France is probably pissed ’cause of “Genius in France” though… bunch of pansies…

HAHAHA…Stephen S. said ABOOT again!! But on a serious note, if Canada did ban it cause of Canadian Idiot, I would say we’re a bunch of wussies with no lives at all!!! And I’d go all the way to Ottawa, go into Prime Minister Stephan Harper’s office, and play the song until he decided to buy his own copy of the album. Anyways, that’s not the case, and the album was released today, though I recieved mine last week. Sucks to those in the UK. You’re in my prayers:P

Why wait for the German release? I ordered mine from amazon.com when it came out in the US and it reached Germany yesterday.
