The Ups and Downs
Billboard has released it’s newest chart numbers for this week. On the top albums chart, Straight Outta Lynwood dropped a few places from #10 down to 19. Luckily, it’s still ahead of Clay Aiken. However, the single for White & Nerdy has vaulted up to #9 from #28 on the Hot 100 chart. That’s HUGE! It’s also now #3 on the Hot Digital Tracks zooming up from #9. Go figure, a song about geeks and nerds is more popular online. Who da thunk it? Congratulations to Al, the band and everyone at the record label (Um, that’s NOT you, Atlantic Records! YOU SUCK!) for making this a great success!

That’s excellent! Well, at least Al is still in the Top 20! Great news about White and Nerdy, too! I predict that the video will be #1 on Vh-1’s Top 20 Countdown this weekend. Vote now, vote often!

If (we pray to god) white and nerdy hits #1….will that be a first legitimate #1 single for al????

In a way, though, we do have Atlantic to thank - I don’t think “You’re Pitiful” would have been nearly as big a hit.

It wouldnt matter if the lead single would be Your Pitiful or White and Nerdy. WnN is popular because the clever video. If your pitiful was just as clever, it would just get the attention as well. Do I creep you out is slated tp be next as a video, if thats done well, it may chart too and get attention.
