Al meets generations of fans at Fort Bragg
From the Fayetteville Online: Fans get a close look at Weird Al Yankovic - Al spent three hours on Wednesday at North Post PX in Fort Fragg to chat and pose for pictures for hundreds of fans spanning three generations. (According to the amusing pic in the article, it looks like he was only scheduled for 2 hours.) And I love this quote about his 3-year-old daughter:
In the car, I’ll start singing along to a CD and she goes, “Daddy, stop! I want to hear real music.”
Ha ha! How cute. It’s nice seeing Al supporting the troops, and the troops and families supporting Al as well.

First off, that is so damned adorable, it nearly makes me vomit rainbows and hearts.
Secondly, I hope Al doesn’t burn out; he has been working hard for many years and lately he’s been going non-stop. Appreciation for you, kind sir.
Third, I want to mention that I’ve mixed feelings about whenever articles talk about this “fresh” success with SOL/W&N, and I know you all agree with me. It is great that he’s getting it, but WHY ONLY NOW?! IT ONLY TOOK YOU FOOLS A QUARTER OF A CENTURY.

you are right.
He’s been deserving of this mass appreciation and recognition for a looong time.
What’s up with the news also?
I didn’t hear ONE news thing saying ANYTHING about Al’s birthday on Monday.
That’s rotten…
