Retro Al: Circus of the Stars
Hey kids, what time is it? That’s right, it’s Retro Al time! Today the WAYback machine is set for the year 1992. Bill Clinton beats George H. W. Bush and H. Ross Perot in the presidential election, Jay Leno takes over Johnny Carson’s place as host of the Tonight Show, and on November 27th, the world got to see Weird Al pretty much be a monkey boy atop a 55′ swaypole for “Circus of the Stars XVII” on CBS.
Yes it’s real. Back then, CBS would have a special show once a year where celebrities get to perform all sorts of circus acts like animal acts, trapeze acrobatics, and other stuff. All after months and months of training of course. I think it’s time for a comeback, don’t you? I mean, I know I’d like to see Lindsay Lohan juggling flaming pins, or the band members of Korn walking a tightrope, or K-Fed selling cotton candy. Actually, he might be doing that right now. Sweet!
Anyway, enjoy your retro Al video clip.

Oh my gosh. Well, I can only say two things about this:
#1. GO, AL!!!!!! You can do ANYTHING!!!!!!
and
#2. I’m amazed how there was no stunt guy and no net!!!! But, then again, this IS “Weird Al” we’re talking about. {See #1.}
