I had a thought….
If we DEMANDED “White & Nerdy” hoodies….and we got them…..why can’t we DEMAND Al put out “The Straight Outta Lynwood Video Collection”???
March 22nd, 2007 at 02:05 pm
Because DEMANDING is not very nice. A PLEASE and THANK YOU would work a lot better!
March 22nd, 2007 at 02:14 pm
Yeah, A Man!!!! (sorry, Josh…) But we didn’t exactly DEMAND the W&N Hoodies. (Did we?)
March 22nd, 2007 at 02:27 pm
Well, If Al says we DEMANDED them??
I’m not gonna argue….are you?….(I have the blog saved to prove it!! :D)

THE ALBUM IS IN STORES!
I don’t know if you’ve heard anything about this or not, but… well, I’ve got a new album, and it’s out as of today.
I’m in the middle of my cross-country promotional blitz - getting a little tired of talking about myself, but still having a great time. The buzz on the new album is huge - the record label seems very excited.
Say, if I could ask a favor… if you are at all inclined to pick up a copy (or 12) of “Straight Outta Lynwood,” could you please try to do it this week if at all possible? People in the industry really pay a lot of attention to first week sales figures and chart position - it means a lot to them. (Okay, okay, it means a lot to me too.)
And to all the spoiler-free people who have somehow been able to resist the temptation to download and listen to the album early… I congratulate you and salute your will-power. Now that you’ve come this far, make sure you do it right - after all, you can only listen to a new album for the first time once. When you get home from the record store, unplug the phone. Dim the lights. Anoint yourself in the finest of oils, set out a plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and put the CD in your stereo. Make sure that the volume is turned up to just below the pain threshold, and that you’re sitting in the sweet spot on your couch. Then press play, sit back and bask in the glory and majesty that is “Straight Outta Lynwood.” Listen over and over again until the songs are permanently wedged in your brain. Then and only then, you may flip the disc over to the DVD side and play all of the music videos, followed by the making-of-the-album featurette. Then you can check out the 5.1 mixes, or take full advantage of the karaoke function until the neighbors threaten to call the police.
Anyway, enjoy the new album. I really hope you like it.
Oh, by the way… just because you DEMANDED it… we will make “White & Nerdy” hoodies (as seen in the video) available to the public. They should be ready in about a week or so… I’ll keep you posted.
See ya at the in-store!
