New Zealand Interview

Aside from the newscaster saying “Yankovich” twice, it’s the best Al interview taken in a parking garage overseas I’ve ever seen.

Two great rare items on eBay — Weird Al artwork commission and “Peter & The Wolf” CD

Weird Al Star Fund has posted two great items for auction on eBay.

First off, we’ve got a full color Weird Al artwork commission by Aron. You get two full color prints PLUS a t-shirt, with the option to buy more merchandise with your exclusive design on it. It’s your design to do whatever you want with, it’s truly a one-of-a-kind deal.

Second, we’ve got a brand new copy of the rare, hard to find, “Peter and The Wolf / Carnival Of The Animals – Part II” on CD. Weird Al teams up with Wendy Carlos and the LSI Philharmonic for their hilarious take on these classics.

Don’t miss your chance to get these two great items. All proceeds from both auctions go to the Weird Al Star Fund.

Bid early! Bid often!

Tim and Eric Awesome Show

From WeirdAl.com:

AWESOME SHOW!
If you’d like to see a truly disturbing cameo appearance by Al, check out “Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!” this Sunday night on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.

And if you can’t wait that long or just don’t have cable, it looks like you can watch the episode right now at AdultSwim.com. Al only shows up for the two “Here She Comes” segments.  Yep… “truly disturbing” seems about right.

Yankovic! Concert Finder 2.0 Beta

The Straight Outta Lynwood tour is just about to get underway. For the last tour, I created a Concert Finder page where you could enter in your zipcode and out popped a list of upcoming shows and how far away each one was. Well, now it’s time for an upgrade!

Ladies and gentlemen… I present to you the new and improved
Yankovic! Concert Finder 2.0 Beta

Simply enter in your zipcode (or city, or street, or even country if you like) and the map will center on that, and list out the concerts by distance.

I use Upcoming.org to keep track of all the concert info. It looks like a great place to find others who are going, show off any pictures you took, leave comments, etc… Click on the show in the map to go to that specific event on Upcoming.org.

Thanks to wonders of AJAX, and Yahoo javascript libraries, and all that jazz, you can now visually see how far away all the shows are. Yay! And just like all the other Web 2.0 sites, it’s released in Beta, which means… um… well, it’s just Beta, that’s all.

Well, check it out and lemme know what features you’d like to see, comments, suggestions, that kinda stuff. Enjoy!

Weird Al Yanks Your Chain

Have some fun answering True or False pop culture trivia questions and letting Al either congratulate you or mock you mercilessly on UGO.com’s Weird Al Yanks Your Chain! And while you’re there, check out the video interview. Neat!
