Weird Al Autographs
Came across this short blog entry, Weird Al and the iPhone, which has a cool picture of a cool gadget with a cool autograph on it.
Which has me wondering, what’s the wackiest thing you had Al sign? If you haven’t had the chance to meet him yet, what WOULD you like to have him sign?
For me, I guess my wackiest item would be the dollar bill. After autographing it, Al says “Hopefully one day this will be worth something.”

Before I lost my 700-plus record collection in a fire, I had hoped that one day I could get Al to autograph one of the They Might Be Giants records I had (self-titled and/or Lincoln).

I’d have to say either my forehead— or my accordion grill. But you already knew about the accordion grill, hehe.

While after searching high and Low for a pair of slip on vans shoes I finally found the exact same pair that he has in his photo shoot for Poodle Hat. You know the palm tree ones that are blue? When he comes to Saskatoon I want to hopefully have them signed and then I will never wear them again.

I am lucky to meet al at the Toronto show and sign my POODLE…. I mean ticket. I was gonna bring my tatoo needle to sign my back……
Other weird thing I would freak Al with like underwear strap.
BTW I met Steve, he is an awesome dude, I told him I have 4 of his albums and he’s a good musician, he told me there is gonna be a 5th solo album in a few months, as soon as he figures out the title. If I had thought of this “stright outta Africa”. But I didnt hehehe

On Al’s Poodle Hat tour, my son and I stopped and bought a snorkel — yes, it was bright green, almost glow-in-the-dark — and had The Great One and Steve Jay sign it after the concert at a quick after-the-show meeting time.
Al was very polite and when I told him we had driven 600 miles to get to the concert, he asked, “Wasn’t there one closer?” Yes, but they were all theme parks or general admission, and we didn’t think we would have a chance for a meet-and-greet afterwards.

Hmm, it’s not that strange, but I had him sign the back of a keychain with the ALTV logo on it that Susan PW’s daughter made. They were for sale at the Comic Relief table at AlCon III. I gave the keychain to my friend Julie. I’m going to see Al in September. Perhaps I’ll have him print just “AL” on my banana pin that I got from the STUPID Club at AlCon III. I know a few others who had Al sign theirs at AlCon. Didn’t think of it then.

I had him sign the Al buxx – I said “These’ll be the official currency in the New World Order.” He replied, “As well they should.”

I also had him sign my cell phone, which is not and iPhone, but a cell phone nonetheless. But he signed mine about a month prior than that guy, so I guess that means I win.

I also had him sign my little sister.

Any suggestion on where the tour buses usually are? Or how long I have to find them after the show before Al comes out? Or what they look like? lol Sorry I’m going tomorrow to the show in DC and I can’t wait to finally get to meet Al

Thanks guys. I’m going to the show in DC too. I went to his show in Baltimore MD in May, but I couldn’t hang around afterwards. I hope this is the time to meet him!
I heard there are two buses, one for the band and one for the crew and the tour stuff. i think they have pictures of Al on the sides. They shouldn’t be too hard to miss in downtown DC.
I’ll be the kid in the tour tshirt in balcony row KK. See you tomorrow!
Stevo!

I’d probrobly have him sign this trivia card with his name as a question and answer. Either that or the traditional shirt signing, cell phone signing, or album booklet or poster signing-something to show my friends at school the next day lol.

I had him sign my arm. I tattooed it afterward and had a scissors stabbing into my arm tattooed next to it since Al was on the “Running With Scissors” tour! I love it! It gets alot of questions….”Who is Al anyway?” Always fun to answer!

I just had him sign my ticket, but my friend had him sign her expired passport just because. She told him she’d never been anywhere and he said “that’s so sad”.
