Keep track of which shows you and your friends are going to with the help of Upcoming.org. August 26, 2007What’s in Weird Al’s house? What’s So Weird About Al’s Place? Could it be the plaster cast of his in-laws? From MetroMix.com, here is a fascinating interview that asks Al twenty questions mostly centered around his home. What’s the most luxurious item? What’s on his nightstand? etc… There’s lots of great answers in this article, but I think my favorite quote would have to be:
Hee hee hee. (Thanks Orthography Enthusiast) August 25, 2007Upcoming CafePress changesCafepress, which handles most of the merchandise for Weird Al Star Fund, is making some changes this week that I wanted to point out before it’s too late for you guys to take advantage of. They are going to raise their base price by $3 on items that have second-side printing (i.e. shirts with print on the back, etc.), so if you want to save a few bucks, make sure you buy those items now! Also, on or around August 28, all calendars will be transitioning from 2007 dates to 2008 dates, so this is the last week to pick up a calendar with 2007 dates. Yeah, so um, apparently A&E is doing a Biography on our pal Al and giving him the respect he deserves. Since this is the most news we have about it, don’t go askin “Well when oh when oh WHEN!?”. Because like when you ask “Who is it?” when some big, fat hermaphrodite with a Flock of Seagulls haircut, and only one nostril comes knocking at your door… there is no answer. YET! Thanks again to UHJeff for finding the info and passing it along. August 10, 2007Funky Form of FlatteryInterview with Al at the Washington Post: Weird Al’s Imitation: A Funky Form of Flattery The article talks about the new album, the songs, the animated video for Trapped In the Drive-Thru, Al gushes with pride about the other band members, and an interesting tidbit in the last paragraph:
Woo hoo! That would be pretty freakin’ sweet if that happened. One day, we could get new songs pretty much as soon as Al thinks of them. (Thanks to Orthography Enthusiast) |
