Lady Gaga is adamant … she did NOT ban Weird Al Yankovic from parodying her hit song “Born This Way” — despite Al’s accusation that the pop star shut him down hard recently.

And the New York Times managed to catch up with Al shortly after the song was posted. So they got to dig deep, peel back the layers, and expose the real Al and the story behind the story. What will happen next in this saga? Will she publically announce her blessing for this song? Would she make a guest appearance in a video if she did? Will she reveal she’s really Justin Bieber’s mother? How should I know?

Of course, none of this should really matter since Al originally got permission for Madonna to do a parody of her work over 20 years ago. #addingfueltothefire.

Photo by joshjanssenAll across Antarctica, people are grabbing live poodles and balancing them gingerly atop their heads.  Why?  Vogue Magazine finally published the results of a 50-year web survey asking college students in Northern Wisconsin what they’d like to see become the next big thing.   Someone had hacked their way into the survey’s database and changed all the answers.   As we all know, a survey is a binding contract, so Poodle Hats are now what the fashionistas are wearing.

During the opening theme for The Weird Al Show, Al sang that he made a really fine jelly bean and pickle sandwich. If anyone could combine those two tastes and just make pickle flavor jelly bellies, it would this guy!

  3. Whiz on the grave of his arch-nemesis:  Rue McClanahan.  Not the actress, someone else.  She knows what she did!
  4. Cold hard cash.
  5. Become radioactive, then bite Al’s pinky toe, thus giving him awesome superpowers like mind-control over fleas (including the musician).

There, that should just about cover it.  Any other ideas on puppy payback?

Fletcher, Sr. in UHF died of natural causes yesterday, September 11, 2010. He was 96. Our condolences to the family of Mr. McCarthy. I personally will remember Mr. McCarthy for his role in UHF, and his role as the mayor in The Weird Al Show‘s “60% Chance Of Rain” skit. R.I.P. Kevin McCarthy. :(
